PAMEKASAN, fkipmedia – Anggapan lama bahwa matematika sekadar rumus hafalan yang jauh dari realitas kehidupan kian tidak relevan di tengah gelombang otomatisasi global. Memasuki era Society 5.0, disiplin ilmu ini justru bertransformasi menjadi arsitektur utama di balik kecerdasan buatan dan analisis data raksasa.

Guna memetakan ulang arah pedagogi tersebut, Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Universitas Madura (Unira) menyelenggarakan Kuliah Tamu Internasional (International Guest Lecture) pada Rabu (20/5/2026).

Forum yang mempertemukan ratusan akademisi di Aula Laboratorium Bersama Lantai 3 Kampus Unira ini mengupas tuntas tema bertajuk "Digital Mathematics for Society 5.0". Demi membedah tantangan ini secara komprehensif, Unira menggandeng pakar dari Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

Analytical Logic as a Fortress of the Ages

In his opening oration, the Dean of FKIP Madura University, Dr. Moh. Zayyadi, M.Pd., reminded the importance of radical changes in methods looking at mathematics in college. Mathematics education graduates no may be prepared only to transfer rigid formulas to the board.

We want to trigger the birth of cutting-edge research that is capable of solving real problems in society through a mathematical approach."

Grounding Mathematics through Cyberspace

As the main speaker, Prof. Dr. Noraffandy Bin Yahaya presented a new vision of digital mathematics. He highlights the phenomenon where many educational institutions are stuck buying technology devices sophisticated, but failed to develop computational thinking in humans.

According to Prof. Noraffandy, deep digital mathematics The context of Society 5.0 is the ability to construct solutions to problems in the world real use of technology-based mathematical modeling.

Tindak lanjut tersebut difokuskan pada dua sektor utama: kolaborasi riset internasional di bidang pengembangan modul computational thinking, serta proyek bersama dalam merancang media pembelajaran matematika berbasis digital. Produk akademis ini nantinya ditargetkan dapat langsung diujicobakan dan diterapkan pada sekolah-sekolah mitra di wilayah Madura guna mempercepat kesiapan literasi numerasi digital di tingkat akar rumput.
