PAMEKASAN — Dekan FKIP Madura University, Dr. Moh.

In this forum, Dr. Moh. Zayyadi conveyed a number of strategic recommendations to strengthen the quality of education in Madura through integrating local culture with the Ministry of Basic Education's priority programs. According to him, learning in schools needs to be directed at more in-depth and contextual methods through the development of learning modules based on local Madurese wisdom.

"Learning in schools needs to be directed at more in-depth and contextual methods. One of them is through developing learning modules based on local Madurese wisdom so that students not only memorize material, but also understand it in a way that is relevant to their social and cultural environment," he said.

Apart from that, FKIP Madura University also encourages the integration of computing and coding through traditional Madurese games. According to Dr. Moh. Zayyadi, traditional game patterns are able to train logic, strategy and structured thinking patterns as the basis for computational thinking before students become familiar with computer programming languages.

In the aspect of character formation, he emphasized the importance of strengthening the culture of "ondheghe bahsa" or the use of polite Madurese language such as "Engghi-Bhenten" as part of the internalization of the "7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children" or 7 Habits program. This approach is believed to be able to build student character based on local cultural values.

Not only that, the young doctor also recommended digitizing learning materials by using Madurese folklore into digital media, animation and educational games to increase students' creativity and coding literacy in the digital era.

In the field of improving the quality of teaching staff, Dr. Moh. Zayyadi proposed the preparation of a Madurese Language Competency Test (UKBM) for teachers as a scientific and standardized formal evaluation instrument of linguistic abilities.

"On the issue of linearity for local content teachers, we encourage the Ministry of Basic Education to open a pathway for affirmation and recognition for non-linear teachers who have been teaching Madurese," he said.

As a long-term step, FKIP Madura University also hopes that the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology will open a special Madurese language nomenclature so that regional universities can officially open Madurese Language Education Study Programs.

"The existence of this study program is an urgent need to produce professional teaching staff while maintaining the continuity of Madurese language and culture amidst the development of the digital era," he concluded.

Sementara itu, Menteri Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah Abdul Mu'ti menyampaikan bahwa pemerintah akan menindaklanjuti berbagai usulan terkait penguatan pendidikan berbasis budaya lokal Madura, khususnya mengenai keberadaan guru non-reguler Bahasa Madura dan pembukaan program studi khusus Bahasa Madura di perguruan tinggi.

According to him, non-regular teachers who have been teaching Madurese remain a concern for the government and will be discussed further by the Ministry of Basic Education.

"Non-regular teachers who teach Madurese, God willing, will be followed up and brought to the attention of the Ministry of Basic Education," he said.

Apart from that, Abdul Mu'ti also said that the proposal to open a Madurese Language Education Study Program would be forwarded to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology for further study.

"The study program is important as a strategic step to produce professional teaching staff while preserving the Madurese language and culture. Including the '7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children' program, it can be integrated with local Madurese values ??as part of strengthening students' character at school," he concluded.
