Digitizing Report Cards: Madura University Students Develop an Arabic Assessment Platform at MI Al-Islamiyah Galis

PAMEKASAN – Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat dari Universitas Madura (Unira) sukses melaksanakan program digitalisasi sistem penilaian di MI Al-Islamiyah Galis, Pamekasan. Program ini bertujuan untuk memodernisasi tata kelola administrasi sekolah melalui pengembangan platform entry nilai rapor berbasis web yang terintegrasi dengan bahasa Arab.

This activity, which was funded through an Internal Grant from the University of Madura, was motivated by the Madrasah's need to speed up the process of processing student grade data, which until now was still done manually. Considering the characteristics of Madrasas which have a strong Arabic curriculum, the service team presented an innovation in the form of a system that supports data input and interface display using Arabic.

Madrasah Digital Transformation Dalam rangkaian kegiatannya, tim mahasiswa tidak hanya menyerahkan perangkat lunak, tetapi juga memberikan pendampingan intensif kepada para guru. Workshop yang digelar di ruang kelas MI Al-Islamiyah tersebut meliputi cara pengoperasian aplikasi, manajemen data siswa, hingga teknis pencetakan rapor digital.

"This program is our effort to bridge technology with the specific needs of Madrasas. With this web-based system, teachers can access and fill in grades anywhere more efficiently and accurately," said one of the service team representatives.

Positive response by the school Kepala MI Al-Islamiyah Galis menyampaikan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya kepada Universitas Madura. Menurutnya, inovasi ini sangat membantu beban kerja administratif guru, terutama dalam proses validasi nilai yang sebelumnya memakan waktu cukup lama.

"We are greatly helped by this application. Apart from being modern, the use of Arabic in this system is very relevant to our identity as a Madrasah," he said on the sidelines of the activity.

This activity closed with a group photo session and a symbolic handover of system usage guidance documents. Through this service, Madura University hopes to continue to contribute to increasing digital literacy in basic education institutions, especially in the Pamekasan area.
